Baker City Downtown has an active and dynamic Board of Directors made up of nine downtown business owners, building owners, employees, residents, and connected community members. Joining the BCD Board is one of the most direct ways to enact positive change in our downtown and broader community.

Board Recruitment kicked off on December 20, 2025. Per BCD Bylaws, you may be added to the Board Ballot in one of two ways.

First, you may be nominated and asked to fill out the Google Form by the BCD Nominations Committee (made up of the outgoing Board members and Board President).

Second, you may complete the Google Form AND submit a petition form signed by five 2025 Supporters (a list of 2025 supporters may be found here).

The Nominations Committee will review all completed forms and make final Board ballot selections by January 9, 2026. Board ballots will be mailed to the 2025 Supportership with information from each applicant’s form. Ballots may be returned via the included pre-posted envelope, hand-delivered to our Executive Director’s office in Room 203 of City Hall, or turned in at the Annual Meeting on February 3, 2026. Board election results will be announced at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting.
